While I was doing the Sketch Variations Hummingbird 1, I discovered that cleaning the pen nub of ink resulted in some really cool effects, so I took some photos.

Nice work. I was cleaning out a fountain pen (a Parker “51”) and was wondering how to photograph the ink patterns in the water.

It took a few tries and some different settings, and it’s still not quite as lovely as it was in real life, but I’m happy I got it.
